According to the Better Business Bureau, scammers usually show up offering a discount on driveway paving, claiming to already be at work in the neighborhood. In some cases, the scammer will straight up rip people off by taking a fee up front and then never returning to do the work. In other cases, they do a bad job that costs thousands to fix. The paving scammers typically circulate in the warmer months.
