Wayland Reports New Coronavirus Cases
Coronavirus cases are very low in Wayland, but officials have counted several new ones recently.
WAYLAND, MA — Although overall coronavirus activity remains very low in Wayland, the town has seen some new case activity, according to the Board of Health.
Wayland added two new cases between Sept. 23 and Oct. 2, and there were two active cases in town as of Friday. By comparison, Wayland added seven total cases between Sept. 11 and Oct. 2. The town saw eight cases over July and August combined.
According to state data, Wayland has added six cases over the past 14 days, and has had 123 total cases since the pandemic began. Wayland is still considered a green low-risk community, which means the town can advance to the next stage of the state's reopening plan.
