The distinction is given by industry newspaper Banker & Tradesman.

The information below was provided in a press release.

Wayland resident Mary Lentz, executive vice president and principal of McCall & Almy, has been named one of Banker & Tradesman’s 2011 "Women of FIRE" (Finance, Insurance and Real Estate). The award recognizes a group of select women that excel in the finance, insurance or real estate sectors.

Lentz was chosen by jury from among more than 100 nominees for her success in managing several of Boston’s largest commercial real estate accounts, including Partners HealthCare and the Broad Institute, as well as for her philanthropic work. The award took into consideration her commitment to the community and leadership roles for advocacy groups within the commercial real estate industry. Lentz holds trustee positions with the Boston Arts Academy and the Newton-Wellesley Physicians Hospital Organization, and is a member of the Wayland High School Building Committee.
