WAYLAND, MA—A Wayland High School student has won an award for promoting LGBTQ inclusion and acceptance in school
Greater Boston PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer People) announced thatAbigail McCarthy won the Elsie Frank Scholarship Award at Pride & Passion 2017, reports Waylandenews.
This scholarship is given out every year to high school students who demonstrate leadership in improving the climate for LGBTQ youth and their families.
