What's Open, What's Closed on Independence Day
You can go swimming Monday in a couple of places around town, but banks, libraries and post offices are not options.

Restaurants, bars: Open at owners' discretion, but many in Wayland are closed, including:

City, Town, State and Federal offices and facilities: Closed. This includes the Wayland Town Building, the Wayland Public Library (closed July 2-4), schools and the Post Office (express mail will be delivered). Only emergency services are available.
- The Wayland Town Beach will be open today with regular summer hours: 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
- The will also be open with regular hours: 6 a.m. to sundown.
Financial Services: Banks and the stock markets in the United States will be closed. Some international markets are open. Some banks may open certain branch offices – often those inside supermarkets.
