When is The First Day of School in Wayland?

Believe it or not, the first day of school is just a few short weeks away!

So when is the first day of school for Wayland Public School students?

The first day of school is set for Wednesday, Sept. 2. School will be closed on Monday, Sept. 7, in observance of Labor Day.

Here are some other important 2015-2016 dates for Wayland Public School students:

• Aug. 31, all staff returns for school preparation
• Sept. 1, 6th and 9th grade orientation
• Sept. 2, first day of classes
• Sept. 4, no school
• Sept. 7, no school
• Sept. 10, back to school night, 7-9 p.m., Wayland High School
• Sept. 14, Rosh Hashanah, no school
• Sept. 23, Yom Kippur, no school
• Oct. 12, Columbus Day, no school
