WELLESLEY, MA, — Three teens were arrested on Aug. 16 caught in the act of casing Wellesley Streets for cars to break into, according to Police.

An officer was on patrol when he noticed a car stopped in the middle of Clifford street just after 2 a.m. He watched as it started moving slowly down the street with no lights on and turned to go check on it as it turned onto Cottonwood Road, still without its lights on. When he stopped the car and spoke to the driver, it turned out she was under 18 and had no licence. There were two others in the car, though; Kelcie Jones, 18, of Framingham and Richard Macedo, 18, also of Framingham and they were not wearing seat belts.

They told the police officer they were traveling home from a friend’s house and their cell phones had died and they had no GPS so they got lost. But when the officer asked them about the lights they told him they pulled off on to the side street to smoke marijuana. But the police officer didn't smell any pot and or find it where they told him they threw it when they said they saw him coming.
