5 Things You Need to Know Today: Cyber Monday Edition

There's "Black Friday," "Small Business Saturday" and now "Cyber Monday."

1.     The kids are out of school…still. Today is a professional day for Wellesley Public School staff. School resumes tomorrow.

2.     However, the sports season officially begins today. The schedules aren't out yet, but some teams begin practice this evening.

5.     Speaking of computers: Today is known unofficially as "Cyber Monday," one of the biggest online shopping days of the year. The term was coined in 2005 when several retailers' reported big increases in sales the Monday following Thanksgiving. Because many are back at their jobs on this day, the sales have moved from the racks to the Web sites.
