7th and 8th Grade Healthy Relationship Workshop Series

OWL (Our Whole Lives) is an age-appropriate, positive and comprehensive human sexuality and relationship program

UU Wellesley is offering Our Whole Lives (OWL) for 7th and 8th graders during the 2016-2017 school year. Register now - deadline is September 9th.

The OWL program provides an age-appropriate, positive and comprehensive sexuality and relationship curriculum that helps participants affirm and respect themselves as sexual persons (including their bodies, sexual orientation, feelings, etc.) and respect the sexuality of others. This workshop series is designed to meet the need for teens to have a safe space to develop the knowledge, values and skills that will enable them to lead sexually healthy, responsible lives. The OWL program is facilitated by trained volunteers from our own community, with many years of experience leading this curriculum.

UU Wellesley’s OWL program will take place on public school non-vacation Sundays from 5-6:30 pm September 2016-May 2017. The program is open to 7th and 8th graders in Wellesley and all surrounding communities. Participating youth do not need to be members of UU Wellesley.

The OWL program was originally developed in cooperation between the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. It is not, however, a faith-based program, and so is appropriate for youth of any background.
