9 From Wellesley To Run Boston Marathon For Cancer Institute
Two local residents will run the Boston marathon in hopes of helping to raise $6 million for cancer research.
WELLESLEY, MA — Nine Wellesley residents will run in the Boston Marathon as part of the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge team.
The participants include:

- Kimberly Fletcher
- Irene Ghobrial
- Kathryn Grissino
- Karen Haddock
- Lynda Nojensohn
- David Steward
- Tricia Wynn
The team is 500 strong with participants from across the nation and world. This year marks the Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge (DFMC) team's 30th annual running in the Boston Marathon with the goal of raising $6 million for cancer research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

All of the money raised by the team goes to Dana-Farber's Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research that supports promising science research in its earliest stages.
