• Developer Redesigns JP Project to Appease Arboretum (bankerandtradesman.com) — A Wellesley-based developer has significantly redesigned its Jamaica Plain monastery redevelopment after pushback from the Arnold Arboretum, moving a planned residential building farther from sensitive trees and expanding it to 5 stories. The new proposal from Sixteen Penny would demolish the existing monastery, add a mix of market-rate and income-restricted units, and offer an easement to protect mature trees while still needing Boston zoning variances.
