Wayland Town Offices To Begin Summer Hours

Here's when town offices will move to a summer schedule.

WAYLAND, MA — Wayland town offices will move to a summer schedule beginning Monday, June 22.

The summer hours will run through Aug. 28 and will close most Town Building and Department of Public Works administrative offices on Fridays, according to a town announcement. Police and fire services will continue operating 24/7.

Town Building hours will be 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays and 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursdays. The building will be closed Fridays.

The DPW administrative office will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays and from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays. It will also be closed Fridays.

The Council on Aging and Recreation Department will keep regular business hours during the summer schedule. Those offices will be open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Mondays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesdays through Thursdays, and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Fridays, according to the town.

The Wayland Free Public Library will keep weekday hours unchanged during the summer, but will shift weekend hours beginning June 27, according to the library’s posted hours.

The library will be open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays. Summer weekend hours will be 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and closed Sundays.
