• Wellesley School Committee extends superintendent's contract, refines AC funding request (theswellesleyreport.com) — Wellesley's School Committee has narrowly extended Superintendent David Lussier's contract through 2029 while also advancing a major plan to add air conditioning at three elementary schools and the middle school. Members agreed to seek Special Town Meeting funding for design work on all four projects, plus accelerated design money for Bates and Fiske, which could lead to a future town-wide debt exclusion vote.
• Wellesley Arts Roundup—October 2026 edition (theswellesleyreport.com) — Wellesley residents can look forward to a packed October arts calendar, from the Small Art, Big Party at Wellesley College to concerts at Wellesley Hills Congregational Church and the Wellesley Symphony's season opener. The roundup also highlights Davis Museum exhibitions, Wellesley High's Acatober choral show, and nearby regional events in Natick, Boston, and Framingham for those willing to travel.
