Some residents were concerned and confused after receiving an alert via mail that the race had been “canceled.” The Swellesley Report reported that the race that had been canceled is the Turkey5, not to be confused with the Wellesley Turkey Trot. “Organizers of last year’s race had a dispute, resulting in a new race being held on Thanksgiving in Wellesley this year as well as a new charitable organization affiliation (The Fund for Wellesley),” said the Swellesley Report.
