Anthony Rapp in Without You

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company, resident theater company at Babson College, presents Broadway and film actor Anthony Rapp stars in this one-man musical theater event, based on his 2006 book Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent September 9 - 13, 2015 at Carling-Sorenson Theater at Babson College, 231 Forest Street, Wellesley. Performances are Wednesday (press performance) and Thursday at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm. Rapp’s first big break in show business came when he was cast as the lead in the musical Rent, but the exhilaration of that show’s overwhelming success was tempered by the sudden and unexpected death of the play’s writer, Jonathan Larson. Without You is his memoir of life and loss, with music from Rent as well as original songs. Anythony will be accompanied by an amazing ensemble of musicians featuring Jerry Marotta, Drummer, David Malachowski, guitar , Paul Gill, Bass, Dan Weiss, Piano (original RENT), Peter Sachon, cellist.

In conjunction with the performances Anthony will launch the third year of BabsonARTS’ Arts & Business Conversations on September 12 at 12:30pm in the Upper Lobby of the Sorenson Center for the Performing Arts.
