Waterstone at Wellesley will welcome Boston historian and author Anthony Sammarco for a reading from his 2014 book “Lost Boston” on Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. A book signing will follow the presentation, with copies available for purchase. “Lost Boston” takes the reader on a nostalgic journey to explore buildings and spaces that have disappeared from Boston over the last 150 years, including schools, churches, theaters, grand mansions, dockyards, parks, stores, hotels and factories. Sammarco is the author of 60 books on his native city, including “Boston: A Century of Progress” and “Downtown Boston.” This event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested at 781-235-1614. Waterstone is located at 27 Washington St., and includes 134 apartments for seniors 62 and older. It features independent and assisted living rental apartments.
