Author, Entrepreneur To Speak At Babson June 8

Diane Meier to speak about road to writing "The Season of Second Chances"

Diane Meier, entrepreneur, style guru, founder and president of MEIER, a full service marketing firm in Manhattan, and author of The Season of Second Chances, will speak at Babson Tuesday, June 8, 6-8 p.m. in the Needham Wellesley Room of Olin Hall.

In Meier's new book, The Season of Second Chances, (March 2010), she tells the moving, humorous, and deeply resonating story of one woman's unexpected encounter with her true self.

Meier will talk about what led her to write a novel that, according to one reviewer is "generating the type of buzz that makes it a must read among intelligent women and the big-hearted men who love them."

Meier has focused on the charting of her generation, not only because it is her community, but also because it has always been and will remain through our lifetime, "the largest societal swell in the country's history."

As she notes, "The issues our generation face today, as we move through our 40s, 50s, and 60s, suggest a fresh assessment of where our work and our lives have led us. Generations before us rarely had the luxury, the opportunity, or the need for such evaluation, or the option to change a career or a life-plan so far into a fully lived life."
