The Beavers rebranded themselves this week, opting for a sleek, contemporary look.

WELLESLEY, MA - The athletics program at Babson College this week unveiled its brand new logo as it ushers in the spring sports season.

After a development process that included feedback from students, faculty, staff and alumni, a comparative analysis of other collegiate logos, the assembling of focus groups of current student athletes and a collaboration with Torch Creative, the college released the updated Beaver emblem in a video Wednesday.

According to the Babson's website, the facelift is a "clean and contemporary redesign, representative of the institution’s next generation of branded collegiate athletics."

The college offers 22 varsity sports to more than 350 student athletes and last updated its logo in 2004.

“Babson Athletics generates such positive energy and enhances the college’s overall student experience,” Babson College Vice President and Dean of Students Lawrence P. Ward​ said in a release on the school's website. “I look forward to seeing our community engage with Athletics’ rebranded identity, and believe that it will complement the program’s ever-growing fan base.”
