Bomb Scare From Cooking Pot Left Outside Wellesley Gym
"It was an odd item to have there by itself, so we requested the state bomb squad to investigate," Wellesley Police Lt. Cleary said.

WELLESLEY, MA — A shelter in place was ordered at the Boston Sports Club gym Thursday morning because of an odd item left alone in the parking lot. The state bomb squad was called in, but the item turned out to be nothing but a large cooking pot.
The pot was left in a parking lot the gym shares with the Babson skating Rink, Police Lieutenant Marie Cleary told Patch.
"It was an odd item to have there by itself, so we requested the state bomb squad to investigate," she said.

When the bomb squad arrived, they checked out the pot, but it was "empty and clean," Cleary said. Police then lifted the shelter in place.
The pot was likely left behind inadvertently from someone leaving the skating rink. It may have just fell out of their car, Cleary said.
