Elizabeth Seton Residence – Proud to Announce their 2019 Boston Marathon Runner – Tim Clark
The Elizabeth Seton Residence, skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Wellesley Hills, is happy to announce that Tim Clark of Rancho Mirage in California has accepted their Town of Wellesley Charity entry to the 2019 Boston Marathon. Lori Ferrante, Administrator tells us, “This is the third year we have been fortunate enough to have a charity entry bib from the Town of Wellesley. We are grateful to our past runners – Kevin Flynn and Abby McKie enough for their efforts. Now Tim takes on the Boston Marathon challenge in support of the Elizabeth Seton Residence – we can’t thank him enough.”
Tim, former New Englander and avid runner tells us “I have always had a passion for the Boston Marathon experience and I am honored to run the 2019 Boston Marathon to help support the Elizabeth Seton Residence”. Tim had a family member who was a short-term rehabilitation patient at the Elizabeth Seton Residence and adds, “I am extremely grateful for all the care, compassion and support shown by all who helped us through this rehabilitation period.”
Tim lacks no end of support for his efforts from residents and staff at the Elizabeth Seton Residence. Continuing with what has now become an annual tradition, every Tuesday and Thursday morning, around 30 residents aged between 80- 102 years old gather and begin their morning with stretches and exercises before walking laps wearing marathon bibs on a sneaker marked route. According to Nicki Lanceleve, Activities Director, “Our residents like to keep active so walking and exercising with a purpose keeps things interesting. We crank up the music and walk our indoor route recording the cumulative miles walked. The residents love it!”
