Lots of Educated Folks Live in Wellesley, Says Study

Some cities and towns have more educated folks than others. NerdWallet released a study of the most educated in the U.S.

Wellesely is the third most educated place in America, according to a recent study released by NerdWallet. Just behind Bethesda and Potomac, MD, Wellesley joined three others to lock three Massachusetts cities and towns (Newton, Brookline and Lexington were the others) in the top ten list.

NerdWallet said it looked at “increasing levels of educational attainment among the populations of 1,990 places across the U.S., from residents with at least a high school diploma to those with a doctorate or professional degree.”

High school and college education weighed the most heavily in the survey, but the overall score included factors such as percentage of the population with a master’s degree, percentage with a professional degree, and and those with a high school diploma or higher.
