Construction to Pick Up Pace at Waterstone at Wellesley

, the long-awaited senior living facility being built on Washington St., will begin to take physical shape shortly.

According to a press release, construction in the area will pick up the pace in the coming weeks. Already there exist pillar-like moorings at the 25 Washington St. site, where ground was officially broken last November.

“All the critical foundational elements – footings, foundation walls, shafts and ducts, underground plumbing, steel frame, waterproofing, drainage – are moving forward rapidly,” according to the statement by Waterstone spokeswoman Joan Barthe.

Also, Waterstone will open a across the street from the property in six weeks, according to the statement.
