Cottage in Wellesley Closed After Young Driver Hits It

The young driver was cited, but there will be no criminal charges brought after the driver drove into the front of the Cottage Restaurant in Wellesley on Sunday, according to the Swellsley Report.

There were no injuries, and police told the Swellesley Report that the driver hit the restaurant after accidentally accelerating.

The Cottage Restaurant posted on its Facebook page, “Unfortunately we are closed due to unforeseen circumstances. We will be keeping everyone up to date as information becomes available. Please do not hesitate to contact our sister restaurant in Chestnut Hill to transfer your reservations. Thank you and we will be opening our doors again as quickly as possible.”
