Date Turned Theft, Hacked Computer: Wellesley Police Log
The following is from the Wellesley Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

February 25
11:15 p.m. - Detective Connelly spoke with a woman who stated that the previous evening she was with a man that she met on a dating website. The man had come to her residence and had later taken several items that belonged to her and some items that belonged to another woman. The items included two laptops, a phone, jacket, and prescription medication. The woman stated she had not given the items to the man nor given him permission to take the items from her residence. The reporting party indicated that the man was a student at Babson College. The next day, detectives spoke with officers from the Babson Police Department and learned the location of the male party’s vehicle. They observed the male party enter his vehicle at 2:57 p.m. and conducted a motor vehicle stop on Wellesley Avenue. They identified the man as 22-year-old Justin Lee of Fullerton, California. He provided conflicting stories about how he came into possession of the reporting party’s property. He indicated that she asked him to take the items but he wished to return them to her. He was taken into custody and charged with two counts of receiving stolen property over $250.

February 26
2:25 p.m. - Officer Joseph spoke with a woman at the police station who stated that she works at an assisted living facility on Washington Street and while working on Feb. 24, she inadvertently left her wallet in a resident’s apartment and when she reported it missing to the staff they could not locate it where she had left it. She stated that her wallet contained cash and a debit card. She stated that the resident has dementia and often moves items to different locations in her apartment. She asked that Officer Joseph not speak with the resident regarding the matter and indicated that her employer advised her to file a report with the police regarding the matter.

12:59 p.m. - Officer Hughes spoke with a man at the police station who wished to turn in an old firearm and ammunition for destruction. Officer Hughes took possession of the items, marked them for destruction and property secured them.
8:28 p.m. - Detective McLaughlin spoke with a woman at the police station who indicated that her computer had been hacked. The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.
February 27
4:40 a.m. - Officer Gerard was dispatched to Worcester Street near Emerson Road for a report of a motorist who struck a deer. The officer observed the deer to be in distress after sustaining significant injuries from being struck by the vehicle. He euthanized the deer with his department-issued firearm.
2:45 p.m. - Officer Shore spoke with a woman who stated that she lost her debit card on Feb. 10. She told police that her card was used to make three unauthorized purchases at businesses on Linden Street on Feb. 12. Officer Shore requested that she contact her financial institution to request more specific information regarding the times of the debit card transactions to assist him in investigating the matter.
