UPDATE: Doctor, of Wellesley, Dead After Brigham and Women's Hospital Shooting

Boston police confirmed one person was shot at Brigham and Women’s Hospital Tuesday morning.
Boston.com reported Wednesday that the victim, cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Michael Davidson, has died. Davidson, 44, of Wellesley, was shot at the hospital’s Carl J. and Ruth Shapiro Cardiovascular Center.
ABC News reported that Davidson has three children, ages 9, 7 and two-and-a-half-years-old. His wife is 7-months pregnant, Brigham and Women’s Hospital said today.

Tuesday evening, the shooter was identified as 55-year-old Stephen Pasceri of Millbury, Mass., according to NECN. He was not a doctor and he was not a patient at the hospital, police said. Pasceri was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Police said they don’t yet know what the suspect’s motive was.
