Drunken Threats, Child Trapped In Car: Wellesley Police Log
Police said a Wellesley man made drunken threats at landscapers before driving away and crashing into another car.

WELLESLEY, MA — Each day, the Wellesley Police Department receives a dozen calls . Here is a sample of these types of calls they responded to between July 29 and August 3. The log includes a report of an intoxicated man making threats at landscapers and a child accidentally trapped in a locked car in the parents' garage. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

3:40 p.m. - A Wellesley man was arrested after police said he drunkenly made threats at landscapers before driving off and crashing into another vehicle. Todd Knights, 30, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of property damage, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and plate violations.
Police were called to a home on Bristol road after Knights made threats at landscapers, police said. When police arrived, Knights was gone. Witnesses told police Knights appeared intoxicated and left driving a black Acura.

At 5:51 p.m. officers were called to the 500 block of Washington St. for a report of a two-car crash, involving a black Acura. Police said the driver left the scene. Police found the car on Weston Road and stopped it. Police took Knights into custody, where he was held on $200 bail.

July 30
2:38 p.m. - Police were called to the Wellesley Free Library after a report of a man asking women person questions and making them feel uncomfortable. The man was issued a letter of no trespass.
July 31
1:40 p.m. - Police and fire officials were called to a house after a small child was locked insde a vehicle in a garage. Police said the vehicle door had been accidentally locked as the parent was removing another child from the vehicle. The fire department was able to open the door to the vehicle and the child appeared to be fine, police said.
Aug. 1
5:18 p.m. - Police were called to a business on Central Street for a report of a male customer being verbally aggressive towards an employee. The man was issued a no trespass letter.
7:26 p.m. - A man reported his identity stolen. He told police someone used his employee information to file a fraudulent worker's compensation claim.
Aug. 3
2:13 p.m. - Police spoke with a man who said his computer was stolen. The report is incomplete at this time and no further information is available.
