Join us on Friday September 24 from 9:30-2:30 for the AARP Driver Safety Program. It is the nation's fi rst and largest classroom course designed especially for drivers age 50 and older to help people live more independently as they age. The course covers the normal changes in vision, hearing and reaction time associated with aging and provides practical techniques on how to adjust to these changes. Participants also learn how to operate their vehicles safely in today's increasingly challenging driving environment and also receive a thorough review of the "rules of the road" with an emphasis on safety strategies. Our instructor is Mary Ann Sinclair, Chief Trainer for the program. The course is 4 hours and we will break for lunch at 11:30. The cost is $12 for AARP members (please have your AARP card with you) and $14 for non-members. Please bring your check made payable to AARP. Cash is also accepted. Feel free to bring a lunch or sign up ahead of time to be part of our lunch program here at the Council on Aging. A menu is provided on our calendar and there is a voluntary donation of $1.75. Please call the Council on Aging to register 781-235-3961.
