Artist, Sarah Dobkin, has found inspiration in her surroundings, including her childhood home town in Western New York. Embedded in her work are deep concerns for internal memories and layers of information reflected in nature and patterns of the everyday. The maturation of her artistic exploration has lead to a BFA in painting and a MFA from Pratt Institute. Sarah now resides and works in Somerville where she maintains a rigorous studio schedule. She has organized the Somerville Open Studio community space for several years and is a Co-coordinator of Somerville Open Studios 2011. She participates in exhibitions in Boston, New York City and the surrounding areas.
