Dr. Julian Seifter to Speak About "After The Diagnosis"

Don't miss this opportunity to hear physician, author, and Wellesley resident Julian Seifter speak about After the Diagnosis: Transcending Chronic Illness.

As a kidney specialist at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Julian Seifter has spent his career helping patients confront and manage chronic illness. He has seen patients react to the news of their diagnosis and subsequently cope with their disease in a variety of different ways. Over the years, it became clear to him that each person’s approach to their illness has a profound impact on how they experience their disease.

Because of his experience as both a physician and a patient, he has been deeply committed to identifying new ways of helping those living with life-altering disease and has spent many years listening to patients and writing about what he's learned.

In his recent book (written with his wife Betsy), After the Diagnosis: Transcending Chronic Illness, he explores the challenges of living with chronic illness and how a deeper understanding of these obstacles can lead to better care and a more meaningful life.
