Under the guidance of artist and educator Nan Rumpf, try out a different experimental watercolor technique each week. Loosen up your painting style and increase your repertoire of watercolor techniques. Experiment with hands-on exercises designed to explore texture, lifting, resist, and developing creative accidentals. The emphasis is on exploration and process. Classes will focus on acrylic drip resist, progressive splatter, marbleizing technique, and stamping and blotting. Class meets on 5 Saturdays: March 10, 17, 24, 31; and April 7. Cost of the 5-session course is $150 for Wellesley College Friends of Horticulture memebrs, $190 for non-members. Pre-registration is required.
