Jose Obando, musicologist, will teach us the cultural history behind the sounds and sensations that make salsa come alive. The program presents instruments, music, and lyrics used in African, Taino, and Spanish Catholic cultures as the base for salsa. When Jose Obando and his musicians perform, the audience will be sure to get up and dance! Co-Sponsored by Multicultural Programs, Office of the Latina Advisor.
