Gary Shostak joined the Peace Corps after graduating from UMass and served for two years in Nepal as part of the first "Green Revolution" effort in the 1960s and 1970s to improve agricultural production to end periodic famines, malnutrition, and diseases related to poor nutrition. Gary will discuss his experiences and describe Nepal then and now in words and photos; its geographic regions, peoples, cultures and languages.
