ParentTalk Lecture: "The Case for the Only Child"

Long-held negative stereotypes about only children make parents wonder if their child is at a disadvantage when compared to those who grow up with siblings. Social psychologist and best-selling author Dr. Susan Newman debunks these myths and argues instead for the advantages of being one and done.

On Wednesday, March 28, join Parent Talk for a thought-provoking presentation, based on Newman’s recent book, "The Case for the Only Child," that combines research with real-life stories to offer a new and welcome perspective on raising only children. The program will be held at Charles River School in Dover in Foster Hall. A dessert reception will be held at 7 p.m., with the lecture to begin at 7:30 p.m.

This program is free for Parent Talk members, $20 for non-members who pre-pay online (online registration closes one day before the lecture); and $25 at the door. No refunds, non-transferable.
