Taking snapshots is, well... a snap! Too often, though, they end up in a shoebox or buried in a folder on your computer. By using some fundamental photography principles, you can start taking photos that shout 'Frame Me!' Rather than having your pictures look flat, uninteresting, and unremarkable, learn how to capture images so that they say what you wanted to say and show the 'feeling' you felt when you pressed the shutter.
In this two-part Digital Photography workshop, you'll learn to use your digital camera to create, compose, and capture images with enhanced beauty and impact. Using examples and field exercises, photographer Artie Fasciani will lead you through a fun and engaging two-part workshop that will change how you capture your world through the lens.
This hands-on workshop is for students aged 13-18. Participants must sign-up and bring their own digital camera and lunch will be provided. This program is made possible by a grant awarded to the Wellesley Free Library by the Federal Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
