Wellesley to Add 8th Voting Precinct: Proposed Maps on Display at Library

According to the 2010 US Census, Wellesley’s total population is 27,982 residents, requiring the town to add a new 8th voting precinct. The Board of Selectmen has been working with GIS staff and the Town Clerk to prepare alternate mapping scenarios for 8 precincts. 3 scenarios have been developed in an iterative process using goals and criteria endorsed by the Board. Maps of each scenario, as well as the goals established by the Board can be found HERE.

Your feedback is important! A member of the Board of Selectmen and Kathy Nagle, Town clerk will display the proposed maps at the Main Library in the Arnold Room and be available for public comment.

You may also offer your comments and/or suggestions any time via email to knagle@wellesleyma.gov.
