First Republic Bank Signs Displayed at Old Blockbuster Location

The site at 284 Washington St., which has been vacant since winter, has a sign on the facade indicating new occupants.

A First Republic Bank branch will soon move into the property, which used to be a store. The Blockbuster closed Dec. 19, 2010, and San Francisco-based First Republic ironed out details of the earlier this year.

First Republic’s Wellesley branch will represent the only suburban branch for the bank, which has two locations in Boston.
