Former Boston University Softball Coach and Division 1 NCAA All Star Cassidi Hardy will Return for a Second Summer as LINX’s Head LX Softball Coach for 2014

WELLESLEY, MA – May 6 –Former Division 1 All Star Cassidi Hardy will return for the second consecutive summer as LX Softball Camp’s Head Coach for 2014 in Wellesley, MA. 

Coach Hardy is currently a pitching instructor for Reading and Newton, bringing an exemplary level of expertise with an impressive track record that includes national ranking in NCAA Division 1 softball in strikeouts per game, shut outs, and ERA in 2009 and 2010. LINX considers Hardy an excellent role model for campers because she is a champion who personifies team spirit. “I loved my junior year in college at Boston University. I played with the girls on that team for three years (I was a red shirt) and we loved each other like sisters. It was a great dynamic, and we just meshed with each other really well. I had a great year statistically, but I don't remember those specifics. What I do remember is hanging out with the girls and how we felt with each other on the field.” Hardy promises to inspire LX Softball Campers with an attitude of perseverance while having fun. “I want to teach them to have fun in the sport and that determination and hard work can take you a long way. Of course I'm going to focus on skill and drills for the game, but essentially the game isn't worth playing if it's not fun!”

During the 9am-4pm camps, Hardy will train the girls in in-fielding, out-fielding, hitting, pitching, catching and base-running. The camp, located at LINX’s Dana Hall Campus in Wellesley, includes 5 softball-training periods per day, optional free swim, lunch period, and a weekly competition spanning all sports.
