WELLESLEY, MA - Throughout her multi-decade political career, Hillary Clinton has honed her speaking chops through hundreds of speeches, debates and public appearances.

On Monday, The Associated Press declared her the Democrats' 'presumptive nominee' for president, based on a survey of delegates. She is poised to formally clinch the party's nomination Tuesday, as six state primaries take place.

But Clinton was well into her public speaking career more than 40 years before she was chosen as the likely candidate to take on Donald Trump in November. 

In 1969, as 21-year-old Wellesley College senior Hillary Rodham, she was voted the first student commencement speaker by her classmates.
