Legislative Breakfast Discussing Women's Challenges Is Next Week
The commission describes the breakfast as an opportunity to discuss the challenges facing the region's women and girls.

WELLESLEY, MA — The MetroWest Commission on the Status of Women is hosting a legislative breakfast on next Monday from 9:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m. in Dana Hall School’s Beveridge Hall, located at 45 Dana Road.
The commission describes the breakfast as an opportunity for public officials, constituents and community leaders to discuss the challenges facing the region’s women and girls. It also gives a chance for people to hear about legislation currently being worked on and supported regarding these issues. All legislative members from the commission's 28 communities have been invited.
Commission Chair, Heather Panahi said the event provides an opportunity to hear from people in the community about the issues important to them, while providing an opportunity to share the Commission’s objectives.

“In MetroWest, as in other communities, we face many challenging issues affecting women and girls: gender-based pay inequity, immigration, campus safety, domestic and sexual violence, and women’s reproductive rights to name a few," Panahi said. "This breakfast will allow the community to become acquainted with our priority areas and our strategies for engagement and action for 2019.”
The breakfast is free and open to the public. Seating is limited so please register to attend on Event Brite.
