Letter by WPS parent to vote for Craig Mack for School Committee
Open Letter by Marguerite Chatelier, WPS parent in support of voting for Craig Mack for School Committee on March 1st, 2022.

To the Editor:
My name is Marguerite Chatelier. My husband, Dr. Henri Fouda, and I moved to Wellesley 15 years ago. Little by little we have integrated into this community and made wonderful friends with parents our kids introduced to us. We have 4 children, all of whom have gone through Wellesley Public Schools.
Now that I have the perspective of having children attending college after a WPS experience, I can say that they were exceptionally well prepared. WPS provided them with high academic standards, challenging and engaging coursework, and the skills needed to succeed in a rigorous college environment. They are all experiencing success in the workforce, grad school, college, and Wellesley High School.

Additionally, WHS taught them to grapple with diverse points of view and to listen to many voices and perspectives, which has enriched their ability to thrive in the increasingly diverse world of college and work. I strongly support both academic rigor and diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion in our schools, and I see no reason one needs to be at the expense of the other. In fact, both are required for college and future success. I believe one of the candidates for School Committee shares these values. Please join me in supporting Craig Mack for School Committee in the town election on March 1st.
Sincerely,
Marguerite Chatelier
