Wellesley, MA – May 26, 2015 –LINX of Wellesley, MA hosted a spring art show, featuring almost 1,000 works of art created by LINX art students age 3 years through 5th grade. The event, which was open to the public, took place at 141 Linden Street on May 17th from 10am – 12pm. About 85 families were in attendance.

The display included pottery, drawings, paintings, multi-media collages and art made from recycled materials. The event provided fun for all, with collaborative art projects for children to participate in. A group project was set up for students to contribute to a “garden” canvas, and face cutouts were available for children to take photos as Van Gogh or Mona Lisa.

A mother of a LINX art student who attended the show with her child stated, “We are super happy that Avril has the opportunity to join an art class that she not only enjoys but also where she can learn new techniques and enhance her current skills! Wednesdays have become her favorite weekday!” LINX Pottery/Art Instructor Sarah Whitney is proud of her students’ accomplishments. “What an amazing chance to see all of the beautiful art my students have worked so hard on come together for one big show. The excitement and pride in the children at the show is why I love teaching art and pottery. It was evident that both students and their families had a wonderful time celebrating all of the stunning art. I could not be happier with the success of the show.”
