LINX Dance Students Compete for a Bigger Cause

Vernon, CT – April 27 – LINX Dance students of Wellesley were challenged with their first Headliners regional dance competition, and instead of accepting trophies at the awards ceremony, they were donated to charities. The competition took place on April 8th through the 10th, at Rockville High School in Vernon, CT. LINX Dance Team and Company competed all 3 days of the event.

LINX dancers, age 5 years through 9th grade, enjoyed the opportunity to dance for a bigger cause. Instead of accepting their trophies at the awards ceremonies, the trophies were happily donated to the charities: PetSmart Charities, Breast Cancer Research Foundation, ROHHAD Fight Inc., United States Dance Sports Team, and Wounded Warrior Project.

This was our first time attending Headliners and despite some strict rules and judging critiques, all of our LINX Dance Team & Company members rose to the occasion and acted like true professionals on and off stage. We are so proud of all of them. Congratulations on another fabulous competition!” said LINX Dance Director, Heather Emley.
