LINX Dancers Win at Star Systems National Talent Competition

WELLESLEY, MA – April 2nd - LINX Dancers of Wellesley competed in the Star Systems National Talent Competition at the DCU Center in Worcester, March 23rd – 25th. It was their first time competing at the event, and the first time the entire team performed together on stage this year.

“The dancers did an amazing job dancing together on stage as a full team for the first time this year. They showed a lot of studio unity and support for each other. It was a great start to our season as a team,” said Heather Emley, LINX Dance Director.

LINX Dancers age 5 to 16 competed with dancers from 10 to 12 schools, and won the following awards:

4th place Tiny Shining Star Small Groups

1st and 2nd place Mini Shining Star Large Groups

1st and 2nd place Petite Miss Star Systems

1st and 2nd place Mini Super Star Duo/Trio

1st through 4th place Mini Super Star Small Groups

1st through 4th place Mini Super Star Large Groups

2nd and 3rd place Junior Shooting Star Large Groups

1st, 7th, and 8th place Teens Shooting Star Solos

2nd and 3rd place Teen Shooting Star Duo/Trios

2nd, 4th and 5th place Teens Shooting Star Small Groups

2nd place Teens Super Star Solos

1st place Teen Super Star Duos/Trios

4th place Teen Super Star Large Groups

2nd place Senior Shooting Star Duo/Trio

2nd, 5th and 7th place Senior Super Star Solos

4th place Senior Super Star Duo/Trio

Winner 13 and over Shooting Star Judges Choreography Award

Emley said the dancers learned a lot and obtained great feedback from the judges to improve for the rest of the season.
