Wellesley, MA November 25, 2013 - Discovery Grove Camp, a division of LINX Camps, offered by LINX Camps in Wellesley, MA, is a nature and science based camp with emphasis on outdoor exploration designed specially for children age three to six years. The camp is located at Elm Bank, home of The Massachusetts Horticultural Society, also in Wellesley. LINX is proud to offer the camp for a second year after receiving enthusiastic feedback from many members.
With a teacher student ratio of 1:5, Discovery Grove boasts eight weekly sessions with engaging themes to include "Circle of Life," where children learn about the environment through the eyes of safari animals and characters, and "Bugs," where kids go hunting, to learn the identification process and to understand why bugs are important to the environment. Our staff does an outstanding job of combining instruction with social development and community building," said Executive Director Josh Shiering. "LINX focuses on building a camp community where kids feel comfortable trying new activities." The camp offers both full and half-day sessions with daily swim lessons and free swim. Registrants of Discovery Grove receive an annual Mass Hort family membership to continue the learning experience with their families.
Serving Wellesley and surrounding communities, LINX is now in its seventh year of operation with over thirty premier camps. The main office is located at 141 Linden Street in Wellesley, MA. More information about LINX and programs, classes or special events can be found at www.linx-usa.com.
