LINX Theater Students Enjoy the Spotlight

Wellesley, MA – March 3 - LINX Theater students 2nd – 10th grade, have been busy with many winter performances at the Rashi School in Dedham and the Wellesley Middle School.

Cinderella, an original adaptation, was performed at the Rashi School with 3 shows each on January 24 and January 31st. “Audiences enjoyed the transformation of Cinderella into her gown, as lights zipped around the theater and an enormous carriage rolled onto the stage,” said Todd Morse, Theater Director at LINX. “Most of all, audiences love that their performers enjoy equal stage time with their peers and how they all have equal time to develop their burgeoning talents.”

Once On this Island Jr. and Into the Woods Jr. were both performed at the Wellesley Middle School, with evening performances on 1/30, 2/5 and 2/6. LINX Theater Director Katie Schiering said the kids loved the challenge of both shows. “They are smart shows and forced performers out of their comfort zones at times, something that makes for terrific performer experience and growth.” Schiering added that one of the performers told her it was the most fun he'd ever had and that he can't wait for the next one!

Upcoming auditions for LINX Theater’s fall classes will be held on May 13th, 14th, and 20th for kids in 2nd – 10th grade at LINX. The fall show titles include Anastasia and Annie Jr. Kids in K-8th grade who want to continue theater education in the summer can register for Theater Camp and perform in one of 4 different show titles.
