Madeleine Albright Stopped by Wellesley College on Inauguration Day
The former secretary of state spoke to Albright Institute fellows at the school.
WELLESLEY, MA – Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright remains close to her Wellesley College roots, spending the inauguration of President Donald Trump at her alma mater.
Albright, who was the first woman to hold the position of U.S. secretary of state, spoke to the 40 young women named Albright Fellows in 2017.
"These young women are our future – and it is bright," Albright tweeted Friday.

This year's Albright Fellows consist of 24 juniors and 16 seniors at Wellesley majoring in 27 fields.

Wellesley College is the alma mater of both Albright and Hillary Clinton; Albright was a staunch supporter of Clinton during her run for president and often made campaign appearances encouraging young women to get out and vote for the Democratic nominee.
