MRSA Confirmed at Wellesley High

WELLESLEY, MA - A case of MRSA has been confirmed at Wellesley High School.

School administrators sent a letter to parents Thursday confirming they have "received notice that there is a single confirmed case" of MRSA at the high school.

The letter says there is an increased focus on cleaning and disinfecting, particularly in the fitness center, locker rooms, and other frequently touched surfaces.

MRSA is often spread by skin-to-skin contact or contact with infected surfaces.
