National Grid To Begin Gas Main Work

National Grid will begin replacing gas mains today in two sections of Wellesley.

The town issued a notice to residents this morning that the gas company will replace mains between addresses 30 and 52 Woodlawn Ave. and 18 to 66 Hastings St. The work will occur each day between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and will last until June 29.

National Grid customers will have scheduled times for the transfer to the new mains, the announcement says.
