According to the ASPCA, 3 to 4 million pets are euthanized every year in animal shelters across the nation. In order to create awareness for pet adoption and help lower these numbers, Unleashed by Petco is teaming up with local rescue groups to host “Happy Tails” adoption events across the nation on Saturday, May 31, 2014.
The Wellesley Unleashed by Petco event will have several rescue groups with adoptable pets looking for their forever homes. There will also be free samples of dog and cat food, giveaways from local vendors, free animal care advice, and fun family-friendly activities. Additionally, guests are encouraged to donate dog and/or cat food at the event, which will be given to a local shelter.
