Local poet Wendy Drexler will read and discuss her poetry at Waterstone at Wellesley on Friday, Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m. Drexler’s full-length poetry collection “Western Motel” was published by WordTech Communications/Turning Point in 2012, and her Pushcart Prize-nominated chapbook, “Drive-Ins, Gas Stations, the Bright Motels,” was published by Pudding House in 2007. She is a poetry editor for Sanctuary, the journal of the Massachusetts Audubon Society. This event is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is requested at 781-235-1614. Waterstone is located at 27 Washington St., and includes 134 apartments for seniors 62 and older. It features independent and assisted living rental apartments.
